It is less convincing when the room already has excellent lighting or when the added features will rarely be used. A high-quality standard mirror paired with well-positioned sconces can still be the better solution.

When comparing models, focus on the features that affect daily use: CRI, brightness range, color temperature, defogging coverage, memory function, mounting system, warranty, and electrical certification. Measure carefully and choose a size that relates properly to the vanity rather than simply buying the largest mirror that fits.

For 2026, the smartest purchase is not the model with the longest feature list. It is the vanity mirror that provides better light, clearer visibility, dependable controls, and a design that still feels appropriate after the novelty has faded.
