It's a clear, high-clarity mirror and the light is very bright while somehow not being jarring to the eyes. We love it. It installs very easily, hanging from the included French cleats.I cut the wire and hard-wired mine, but it comes with a 90 degree plug and the rear is recessed so that you could put an outlet anywhere in the upper half of it and the plug would clear.
